Mimi Bobeck

The rude forceful, over make wearing lady in Drew Carey show. Her whole persona was crude, and she was refused a job due to the over applying of a lot of bold and bright colored makeup way past the legal limit. Now makeup isn’t the issue here. That’s a topic for another time. It was her attitude, and the caking on concealer instead of dealing with what was struggling with inside.

Our internal condition determines how we live, breathe, think ect. Let me expound.

Boasting in our shame

We as women of God can not let down this late in the game. We can not boast in the misapplication of the Word of God. Like Mimi did in over applying her makeup. We should not be ok with flaunting our lax or cavalier watering down of the authority of God and His Word. If we are Christians, we should be Christ like. If we are Christians and have a Christian concert, gathering, or event it should be 100% authentically Christian. The content should be authentically Christian content. It should never be a time where we allow the tainting of the Word of God or Gods standards. We should not allow the worlds ways, music, attitudes, standards, and actions to come in being promoted against God’s standards disguised as freedom. Freedom and liberty come from Christ! Freedom does not come from tampering with the worlds fruit because its poison yet its faux promising only leads to sin and death.

Carnal minded

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:5-6 ESV

We as women of God need to be praying and learning the truth of God’s Word. We need to be able to rightly divide the word of God. We need to be reminded that sin never keeps it’s promise, and any indulgences in sin only lowers our tolerance to sin which only leads to sin being fulfilled and death.

The Word of God

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8 ESV

If we do not know the unadulterated word of God, how will we be able to uphold a true standard of Biblical Womanhood and Biblical femininity?

We need to put the authority of God’s Word first in our lives. He is soon to come!

The misapplication of God’s Word in our lives can be life threatening. We will live forever somewhere whether in Hell or in Heaven. So, we should not take this lightly. We do ourselves a disservice and our children to teach them that Christ and Christianity are like a clear liquid diet. A clear liquid diet is supet restrictive, bland, and a unenthusiastic way of life. Used only when someone is sick or when something is wrong in their lives. Christian living and Christianity is the opposite of that. Living for Christ is hard yet amazing. It is the best choice I’ve ever made in my entire life. True freedom and liberty are found in Jesus Christ! God is to be trusted!

The Word of God is not a thing to play with it is not a toy by any means.

This reminds me of a scene from Toy Story 3 when the toys were torn to shreds. Most of them being chewed on spit out and utterly abused that’s how I feel like the Word of God is being handled by some Christians today.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21 ESV

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12 ESV

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:8-9 ESV

Friendship with the world is enmity against God

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

Romans 8:7 NKJV

Don’t give license for yourself and others especially children under your influence to keep their sin and try to have the spirit of God inside of them and sin. God’s standard is what we should be a upholding not our own way.

Hiding

Hiding is another way of avoiding the application of the authority of God’s word in our lives. Let’s stop hiding soon yet claiming Christ. As a reminder freedom is found in Jesus Christ! Freedom is not found in tampering with the world’s fruit. Living right is not an option or suggestion for a Christian it is a commandment.

I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.   For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:19-23 ESV

Satan’s pursuit of us is relentless, and his tactics are insidious. So why then would we have a soft stance for Christ and think we will have power to stand. The word of God is real and the only authority in this life that’s absolute. It is infallible. It is unchanging. It is unmovable in its standards. When we let down on God standards, we teach our children how to compromise, opening the door for the did god really say mentality.

“Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.”  “The venom of asps is under their lips.”   “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”   “Their feet are swift to shed blood;  in their paths are ruin and misery,  and the way of peace they have not known.”   “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Romans 3:13-18 ESV

The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.  The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.

Proverbs 10:31-32 ESV

Let us all be held accountable for what was read today. Those who are a putting the Word of God imperfectly first in their lives but intentionally keep holding up the Word of God and God’s authority as the highest authority in your life.

Don’t forget to check on someone this week ladies. We as women of God have to make sure that we are intentionally connecting with one another. We are to be praying for one another, and fellowshipping with one another. This week make sure that you are in your Word. Make sure that you are praying for God to strengthen your husband and future husbands for the days ahead. My family is praying for you each week. Never forget to always trust God as you Cry and Repeat God bless you.
