With the God told me and showed me falsehoods running rampant we have to check ourselves.
We can’t allow ourselves to be persuaded to have itching ears!
Let’s dive in !
What if it doesn’t happen?
Is God still good?
Let’s take a closer look at how we view our relationship with Christ. I want to encourage you ladies to look at those hidden things of your heart. Those things that aren’t easy to share and also bring tears your eyes. Those things that are even too hard to trust our Sovereign God with.
Let’s get painfully honest with God.
This is not a subject to extinguish your faith. This is however a subject to challenge your motives and trust in Jesus Christ .
Let me share
A little over 16 years ago I was at a very low place in my life. I was exhausted from all the doctors visits to see why I was not conceiving. I got to a point in my walk with Christ that I needed to make a decision. Was I going to let my broken fertility and foggy parental future change how I loved God, trusted God, or honored Him. It was a struggle.
I loved the Lord for sure but it just seemed like being a mother was most important. I felt like there would be an unfillable hole if I never had children.
I had to really take a step and remember how Great God was already, and if He never allowed me to have my hearts desires Christ was and is still amazing. It was the heart change that I needed. It was God’s timing that was most important.
Scripture says to
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5
Let me pose a very important question?
What if what you are waiting for doesn’t happen will you still love God ? Will you still proclaim God’s goodness? Will anxiety become your God? Will you embrace feeling damaged and find comfort in victim hood?
Scripture
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.
Psalm 37:25 ESV
He provides for his childrens needs. Let our wants and desires be submitted to Christ and let the Lord pry the unsubmitted things from our limited grasp.
Few will honestly answer yes without hesitation but has your desires become an idol ?
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
What do you treasure?
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:20-21
Point of prayer
Distractions are running rampant and the devil spawned agenda tells us to focus inward when things get crazy. That happiness is achieved by loving yourself more. The word of God says that we are Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV
Things in our will never be perfect. We would not serve the Lord if everything was perfect. Run with endurance the race in front of us ladies. Reach out to others and encourage other women to hang on too. Don’t let our hearts desires extinguish the passion for Christ. Let your greatest desire be for holiness and Godliness.
