Ladies this has been a week for the record books.
Fighting for consistency. Fighting for joy. Fighting for alone time. Fighting for stamina as I Segway out of the gym. Ok that last one was just me being silly.
This week has felt like a uphill triathlon. I was growing weary. It’s one thing when you get hit by a hard situation but its a whole other thing when you are getting hit from all sides at once. Toddler up too early. I went to bed to late. All the kids are having attitudes. Trying to be consistent in momming, homeschooling, book promotion, getting health, and doing that plus having a personal Nehemiah experience.
When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other.
Nehemiah 4:15-17 ESV
* a great reminder a lil bit further down that our God will fight for us! Handle whats in our scope to handle.*
Movie night
“Thank you for helping me on my journey” Movie reference
I was in tears as God freed me from the pressures of the week. He took a seeminly meaningless movie and broke my heart and built it back in seconds.
So grateful to get a breathe of relief in my momentary struggle.
The devil thought I’d give up but God!
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Genesis 50:20 ESV
and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:17 ESV
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
Romans 8:18, 21 ESV
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.
Colossians 1:24-26 ESV
For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2 Timothy 3:2-4 ESV
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:11-16 ESV
Whatever your going through, wherever you are God sees you, and cares about what your going through. Hang in there. Read your Bible, Pray, fight and rejoice in the middle of the storm.
