Since you logged on it is confirmed that you have committed to hear me out. Go ahead you can exhale. It is not a beat you over the head exasperate you further message to ruin what’s left of your day. Stand up please, with the exception of if you are driving please be safe. If you are in need of an encouraging breath of fresh air read this out loud.
You, lovely fearfully and wonderfully made Masterpiece of God have made it through the week. You have balanced the budgets, chased the half naked toddlers, fixed the meals, washed the clothes, or left the clean clothes in a basket in front of your bed while you prepare to write a blog.
Okay, that last one was a personal recollection. I want to tell you ladies that you, and all your efforts to further the kingdom of God has not gone unnoticed. If you had that type of focus this week. I implore you to push back against the scheduled demands, and shower yourself in the Word of God. Take off the heaviness, and worship God for a while. Talk to your husband. I am sure he would much rather you tell him what’s going on with you instead of spontaneously bursting into tears as you unrecognizable squeaks ring out. Now if you are not married but living like you are married then you have some hard conversations to have. I will honestly say that half of my week was refreshing, and life giving. Followed by some very challenging, physically demanding days, but in the words of my husband: AS LONG AS YOU LIVE YOU FIGHT.
Choose today not be conquered by satans schemes another day in your life. You, blood bought believer have the spirit of God inside of you. You have everything you need to be lead by the Holy Spirit through the darkness of the present age. Don’t stop fighting. Confront, confess, and conquer the hurdles that currently tell you that it’s impossible to bring Glory to God; because you are who you are. Don’t get me started. Picture us sharing tea, and you and I get to share of the goodness of God. Your story matters. So don’t forsake the fellowship, and the gathering together of other believers. We need each other. This is not a sprint. It is a relay race. Hand off the baton to the next woman of God not to burden her, but to have a moment for you both to God on each others behalf. Your daughters are watching, and so are your cousins, and nieces. Your faithfulness to obeying God, and enduring hardness as a good soldier is an encouragement to others to keep fighting.
Fighting not for victory, because God has already defeated satan. It’s a fight to dodge the minefields of distractions to sharing the life-changing Gospel with other women who are lost. Don’t stop fighting. Be vulnerable with your husband. Take an extra 5 minutes on the stationary bike. Set the smart goals so you can see some wins in the middle of losses. Set yourself up to be able to be refueled by going to the Lord, and trade all the nonsense of your week for peace. God has brought you through so much, and Jesus is not missing in action now. He is a very present help in the time of trouble, and need. Indulge in Jesus. Start your day, and finish with the best love of all. Christ the Lord.
POEM
Mom to mom
You are splendid. You have rough days, but you do make a huge difference. Through the spit up, diaper changes, and tears you are special. Enjoy the smiles, and silliness. One day they will be grown, and you will miss them barging into your room before the sun does; and the inevitable hurts after I told you to stop does not sink in.
You, mom are a handcrafted by God miracle. The more the devil tells you how much you do not matter know that it is just; because your God given service to these tiny humans are upsetting satan’s plans. Derailing tragedies, training warriors for the kingdom of God, and glorifying the King of Kings.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6 ESV
the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16 ESV
Submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Colossians 3:18 ESV
Then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:1-2 ESV
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.Romans 1:16 ESV
Is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 ESV
It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.Philippians 1:20-21 ESV
In the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.Philippians 4:4 ESV
