Prayer is often a very ignored topic when it comes to spiritual growth. Not by everyone, but by some. I often read about knowing your purpose, discover spiritual gifts, 100 ways to identify your purpose, and those type things. But I believe that any blood bought believer of Jesus Christ needs to be praying like never before. I was in a bit of a cycle. I just kind of kept getting overwhelmed by life. If it wasn’t the pandemic updates at one point it was just the constant of fighting an invisible enemy. Every live interruption update was unbearable. Now many months later I find myself giving in to frustration. I have been giving into things that kind of ruin the rest of my day, and I figured out why. I was actually being a mouthpiece for the devil. Wait before you unsubscribe let me explain what I mean. I want to make a very clear statement the devil is powerless. He has to get permission to do anything in our lives, or in the lives of those around us. He often comes to us in ways that seem like just our thoughts. Thoughts of negativity, thoughts of being overwhelmed thoughts of defeat, and the list goes on and on. Often times we trade the power that we have in Jesus Christ to parrot the lies of the enemy. We can already be struggling through something, and he comes along, and starts feeding us the narrative of doubt, of inferiority, or of truly not being equipped for this race. The more we recite his lies the less we usually pray. He does not deserve even me capitalizing the H in he in this sentence. He definitely does not deserve the power to speak into my life or your lives. The word of God says that -We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 ESV
I was letting his thoughts have a straight up circus in my mind, equipped with rides and everything. It was time to stop letting him have that type of access. We are to be resisting the devil so he flees. We are to be rebuking the devil and his attempts in our lives. *For -Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;  but his delight is in the law of the Lord , and on his law he meditates day and night.Psalm 1:1‭-‬2 ESV

A lot of Christians are getting deceived and are finding themselves fighting on the wrong side. Many are finding themselves in the middle of political arguments, choosing to ignore the sanity of life because of having scales of deception one their eyes, or focused on melanin levels in their skin, and the satanic movements that push more division and distractions. Another reason why praying to the only one true God gets put last on the list; if it makes the list at all! We should be asking Jesus Christ for help/guidance. We should be praying for boldness to proclaim the Gospel that saves, heals and transforms. Praying to break the cycle of fear in the world that is fearful. Praying to be in right relationship before Christ’s return. Prayer is essential in a Christian’s life. If you have been alive in 2020 you know that there is many things to be praying about.

Philippians 4 verse 6-8 says: do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I’m not sure if you could use some more peace, no anxiety, and no fear. I sure can! I can also use peaceful sleep while the world is restless, and spiritual growth like never before. Who knew that talking/communing with the Creator of all things created, and asking Him to fix things would help?( ok that was sarcastic) Really though we need to understand that , there is NO PERMANENT SOLUTION WITHOUT THE POWER OF CHRIST!

Love you all,
Always remember to Trust God Cry Repeat! Blessings

*Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.James 4:7 ESV
